Our Story

A place to gather,
unwind and reconnect.

We are Tarnia and Simon, and Mana Beach House began as a dream after years of family holidays in Kingscliff. We started coming here when our children were younger and fell in love with the slower pace, the coastline, the year-round sunshine and the relaxed village feel.

After many years of returning, we wanted a piece of it for our own family. Somewhere to visit often and keep making memories as our children grow, and one day bring families of their own.

The Name

The meaning of Mana.

The name Mana carries deep meaning for us. It comes from the Māori word for presence, strength, spirit and a sense of quiet power, something deeply connected to my heritage, and to the women who helped shape me.

Mana was brought to life by our family and inspired in many ways by my mum, Marella, whose strength, warmth and love of family are woven into the spirit of the home.

The Feeling

A private resort with
the soul of a family home.

What we love most is how easily everyone settles into their own rhythm here. We especially love the wellness-retreat feel, starting the day in the gym, moving between the steam room and pool, and properly switching off without leaving home.

Guests often tell us Mana feels like a private resort, but with the warmth and soul of a family home.

Kingscliff

Without the crowds.

Kingscliff moves at its own pace. Time with family and friends, long days by the water, and the quiet coastal rhythm of the Tweed. It is a beautiful, tranquil alternative to nearby Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, without the crowds.
